2026 EQUIMILLIONS CONTENDERS
LIMBURG
Lakisha will compete alongside her horse, formerly known on the racetrack as Limburg. Although they have only been partnered for the past year, they have formed a strong partnership and are committed to progressing through the dressage levels while also developing a passion for showjumping.
As a team, they are determined, hardworking, and always striving to improve. In the lead-up to Equimillion, they have competed at numerous dressage competitions, achieving several placings, while also gaining valuable experience in showjumping through jump club rounds.
Limburg is the definition of a gentle giant—kind, willing, and always eager to please. His calm nature and generous attitude make him a joy to work with, and he never fails to bring a smile to the faces of his owner and everyone fortunate enough to meet him.
At Equimillion, their goal is to confidently perform their Preliminary dressage tests and then take on the 65cm showjumping round, showcasing the versatility, willingness, and potential of this remarkable off-the-track Thoroughbred partnership.
JACKYY DEE
Jackyy Dee, affectionately known as Jack, is an intelligent and charismatic gelding with a quirky personality that makes him a joy to work with. Always curious and eager to explore, Jack thrives on learning new skills and approaches every training session with enthusiasm and a willing attitude.
After a successful racing career with Damien Lane Racing, he retired from the track in December 2024 and found his forever home with Lisa and Sarah in January 2025, where he is a much-loved member of the family.
Following a well-deserved let-down period, Jack began his retraining in dressage at B&C Equine and has already impressed with several successful outings. Now partnered with Sarah, Jack continues to build on his education and confidence, with his sights firmly set on further competitions and preparing for the 2026 Equimillions.
His trainable nature, inquisitive mind, and genuine love of learning make him an exciting prospect for the future, and we can't wait to see what he achieves.
IMPACT STAR
Impact Star, affectionately known as King, is a kind, gentle gelding with a heart of gold who quickly wins over everyone he meets.
After enjoying a successful racing career under the training of Damien Lane Racing, King retired from racing in November 2024 and began the next chapter of his life. Since January 2025, he has been lovingly owned by Lisa and Sarah, who are dedicated to giving him every opportunity to thrive in his new career.
Following a well-earned let-down period, King commenced his retraining in dressage with B&C Equine, where he has already enjoyed several successful outings. Now partnered with Lisa, King continues to develop his skills and confidence, with exciting plans to further his education and gain more experience in the competition arena.
His willing nature, calm temperament, and eagerness to learn make him a much-loved member of the team, and we look forward to watching him progress in the lead up to the 2026 equimillions.
AMULET STREET
Lakisha will be competing with her thoroughbred, Amulet Street, a horse she first owned two years ago. After spending time apart, Amulet Street has recently returned to her care, making their reunion a special opportunity to continue the partnership they had already begun to build.
During their previous time together, Lakisha and Amulet Street enjoyed competing in showjumping, where they developed confidence, trust, and a strong connection. Now reunited, they are embarking on an exciting new chapter together, shifting their focus to dressage and embracing the challenge of developing new skills both in and out of the competition arena.
Since his return, Amulet Street has shown a willing attitude and a genuine eagerness to learn. His athleticism, intelligence, and kind nature have made the transition into dressage an enjoyable and rewarding experience, and each training session continues to strengthen their partnership.
At Equimillion, Lakisha and Amulet Street hope to showcase the versatility and adaptability of the Off-The-Track Thoroughbred by competing in the Preliminary dressage tests. Their goal is to demonstrate that with patience, correct training, and a strong partnership, retired racehorses can thrive in new disciplines and enjoy successful second careers.
Together, Lakisha and Amulet Street are excited to represent the remarkable potential of Thoroughbreds beyond the racetrack and to continue building a future founded on trust, dedication, and a shared love of learning.
FINAL PHILLY
After a short racing career of just four starts, Final Philly (2019) retired from racing in August 2023 and has embraced her second career with B&C Equine.
Like any classy red-headed mare, she's full of personality, attitude and determination - but underneath that sass is a talented athlete who is developing beautifully as a dressage prospect. With increasing strength, balance and confidence, she's already enjoyed several competition outings, consistently producing impressive performances and earning placings along the way.
As we set our sights on the 2026 Equimillion, we're excited to continue her journey and showcase everything this special mare is capable of."
WON BALL
My journey with Won Ball, known at home as Roman, has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my equestrian life. A successful racehorse for many years, Roman transitioned to life after the track 2.5 years ago. It has been a road full of incredible ups and downs, but every hurdle we’ve faced has only forged a stronger bond between us.
Roman has been guided by the talented Ben Terry, who has been working with him to learn and become the most successful dressage horse Roman can be. Ben absolutely loves Roman's unique spunk and has been instrumental in channeling his energy into the arena. Roman is a beautifully quirky, highly intelligent boy with a naturally flashy way of moving. He is incredibly cheeky at home—the kind of horse who will follow you around the paddock like a dog and loves to give kisses. Beneath that playful personality, he has the biggest heart; even when he is unsure of a new question under saddle, he tries his absolute heart out.
Over the last two years, Roman has completely settled into his second career and is flourishing as a dressage horse. He has a brilliant natural talent and flair for the discipline, and our recent outings have proven that he absolutely loves the thrill and atmosphere of the dressage ring. We are incredibly excited and aspire to attend Equimillions, where Roman can showcase his newly acquired skills, his versatility, and the incredibly bright future ahead of him.
CHOP THE ICE
Proudly introducing my incredible partner, Chop the Ice.
After retiring from racing in April 2026, Chop the Ice began an entirely new chapter—one that has proven that life after racing can be just as rewarding as a career on the track. Leaving behind the racing scene, he embraced his second career with enthusiasm, intelligence, and heart, transforming into a talented and competitive show horse.
Our journey together has been about much more than ribbons and results. For me, Chop has been my comeback horse. After spending 15 years away from riding and competing, stepping back into the saddle was both exciting and daunting. It had been a long time, and I wasn't sure what to expect. But from the very beginning, Chop gave me the confidence to believe in myself again.
Together, we've learned, grown, and rediscovered the joy of competing. Every ride has strengthened our partnership, and every challenge we've faced has made our bond even stronger. Watching Chop adapt so effortlessly from racehorse to show horse has been inspiring. He has shown that with patience, trust, and the right opportunities, retired racehorses can thrive in a completely different career.
Chop the Ice isn't just a retired racehorse—he's proof that second chances can lead to incredible new beginnings. He's given me the confidence to return to the sport I love, and together we're creating memories I will treasure forever.
PROTECTABELLA
Bella, formerly known as Protectabella on the racetrack, is a truly beautiful mare with a story that means so much to our family.
Imported from Germany by Walter Power of Power Thoroughbreds in partnership with Australian Bloodstock, Bella has been Walter’s pride and joy from the very beginning. From the day she arrived, she captured his heart and has always held a special place in it.
Following her retirement from racing, Walter never intended to part with Bella. The plan was for her to enjoy a well-earned retirement and become a cherished broodmare. Sadly, that dream wasn’t meant to be, and through unforeseen circumstances she eventually found her way into the care of B&C Equine.
Her story with us, however, began long before that. Bella was originally broken in and pre-trained by Ben, making her return to B&C Equine feel like fate. Having known her from the start, welcoming her back into our lives has been incredibly special, and watching her flourish in her second career has been nothing short of rewarding.
More recently, our 10-year-old daughter, Isabella, has formed an incredible partnership with Bella. The connection between the two has been undeniable from the outset, and before long Bella had chosen her rider. Their bond is built on trust, patience and genuine affection, making them a wonderful team both in and out of the arena.
Our dream is to see Isabella and Bella compete together at Equimillions, celebrating Bella’s journey from racehorse to much-loved performance horse. If Isabella is unable to compete due to age restrictions, she will still proudly be part of Team B&C Equine, cheering her on alongside Walter and the rest of our family. Simply being there to witness how far Bella has come—from a treasured racehorse to a beloved family horse—would mean the world to us all.
Bella’s story is one of resilience, second chances, and the lifelong connections that Thoroughbreds create. She is far more than an off-the-track horse; she is family, and every step of her journey continues to remind us why these incredible horses deserve the opportunity to shine long after racing.
